Program Volunteer
What does a program volunteer do?

Shopping and/or delivering weekly wishes

Delivering meals, food, and supplies to hospitals
-
Curbside drops to the hospital (hospital badge not required)
Requirements

Application
-
Must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer on the cancer unit.

Proof of vaccines and flu shot will be required to receive a badge at all hospitals.

Please note requirements may differ between hospitals

Regular availability during work week hours
Hospitals

Houston: Texas Children's Hospital (Houston, Katy, The Woodlands), The University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital, Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital

San Antonio: Brooke Army Medical Center, Children's Hospital of San Antonio, Methodist Children's Hospital

Central Texas: Dell Children's Medical Center, McLane Children's Hospital
Please note that hospital badging for volunteers may take 1-2 months due to hospital protocols.
Event Volunteer
What does an event volunteer do?

Helps make our fundraising and other special events a success!

Set up and break down at events
-
Assist guests and participants in registration, directions, or event information

Represents B.I.G. Love by spreading our mission, handing out flyers, and encouraging people to donate
Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer

Availability at one or more of our annual fundraising events. View upcoming events here.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
How can my group of friends, family, or coworkers get involved?

Come to one of our events together

Put together kits for our families - craft kits, holiday baskets, AYA bags, snack packs, and more

Host a toy drive or gift card drive
